Austin Freeman scored 31 points and Jason Clark added 26 as No. 14 Georgetown came from behind to earn a 111-102 overtime victory at No. 8 Missouri on Tuesday.
Chris Wright finished with 21 points and drained a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime for Georgetown.
The Hoyas burst out of the gate in the first half as they hit nearly 80 percent of their shots through the first 12 minutes. They finished 20 for 28 (71 percent) from the floor in the half, including 8-of-15 from 3-point range, and led 54-47. Freeman was 5 for 8 from long range, and finished the half with 19 points.
Missouri nearly matched them basket for basket, hitting 56 percent (15 for 27) from the floor, including 5 for 8 from beyond the arc. Marcus Denmon had the hot hand for the Tigers in the half, and finished with 27 points on 10-for-12 shooting.
Georgetown cooled off in the second half, and allowed Missouri to surge ahead and take an 85-80 lead with 4:28 remaining. The Tigers held the edge until Wright’s 3-pointer with one second left forced overtime.
