Sam Hauser scored 22 points and Jay Huff added 18 points and a key late block as No. 13 Virginia overcame an 11-point second-half deficit to beat Georgia Tech 64-62 in Atlantic Coast Conference action Saturday night in Charlottesville, Va.

The Cavaliers (10-2, 6-0 ACC) won their sixth straight game and have won 14 consecutive conference games dating back to last season.

The Yellow Jackets (7-4, 3-2) saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. Jose Alvarado tallied 20 points, eight assists and six steals, Jordan Usher scored 19 points and Moses Wright had 13 points and five blocked shots.

Georgia Tech took its largest lead at 49-38 on Usher's alley-oop dunk off a pass from Alvarado with 15:26 to play.

Minutes later, Virginia fought back with a 15-2 run to grab a 60-56 lead, capped by Hauser's 3-pointer with 3:29 remaining.

Wright's 3-pointer with 1:29 left beat the shot-clock buzzer and knotted the game at 62-62.

Kihei Clark, who had missed his first eight shots, sank a step-back jumper in the paint to put the Cavaliers back on top 64-62 with 1:08 to play.

Huff blocked Wright's game-tying layup attempt with 41 seconds left, and Michael Devoe missed a game-winning 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Clark scored only two points on 1 of 10 shooting but dished eight assists. Huff finished with five blocks and five rebounds.

Virginia shot 48.1 percent from the field and 44.4 percent (8 of 18) from 3-point distance. Georgia Tech finished at 45.3 percent overall and 60 percent (9 of 15) from downtown.

Both teams shot exactly 50 percent from the field in the first half, with Georgia Tech making 5 of 8 attempts from 3-point distance and Virginia sinking 4 of 9 from deep.

The Yellow Jackets used a 10-0 surge that included two Alvarado 3-pointers to take a 29-21 lead, then seized their largest lead of the half at 36-27 on Usher's 3-pointer with 1:13 left.

Huff's 3-pointer just before the buzzer trimmed Georgia Tech's lead to 36-32 at halftime. Usher (15) and Alvarado (10) both scored in double figures in the opening half.
