Arizona State 93, Detroit 54: Savon Goodman scored 19 points of his 22 points in the first half and grabbed 11 rebounds to spark a dominant performance by the host Sun Devils.

Shaquielle McKissic added 14 points and Gerry Blakes contributed 13 as Arizona State (7-5) recovered from back-to-back losses, including a triple-overtime setback versus Lehigh on Saturday. Roosevelt Scott and Eric Jacobsen scored nine points apiece for the Sun Devils, who raced to a 28-point halftime lead in handing the Titans their fourth consecutive defeat.

Former Sun Devil Brandan Kearney scored a team-high 15 points for Detroit (6-7), which closed out a rugged seven-day road trip featuring games in Florida, Rhode Island and Arizona. Titans leading scorer Juwan Howard Jr. was limited to nine points on 4-of-17 shooting.

Goodman, in his third game and first start since becoming eligible, scored 12 of his team's first 16 points and Arizona State used a 20-4 run to open a 31-12 lead with just over eight minutes to play in the half. Jacobsen had five points in an 11-2 spurt to close the half as Arizona State took a 50-22 lead into the break.

Any hopes Detroit had of making the final score respectable were quickly doused in the opening six minutes of the second half. McKissic scored seven quick points before Jacobsen's dunk capped a 13-0 burst to push the lead to 65-22 with just over 14 minutes remaining en route to the Sun Devils' highest point total of the season.
