Anthony Marshall had 13 of his game-high 22 points in the first half and added nine rebounds as No. 23 UNLV rolled to an 85-68 victory over visiting California on Friday.
Chace Stanback, coming off a career-high 29-point performance, added 15 for the Rebels, who took a 46-26 lead into halftime.
UNLV (13-2) led by only five with 8:19 left in the first half before going on a 25-10 run.
The Rebels, who re-entered the Top 25 earlier this week, won for the fourth straight time. They led by as many as 27 points in the second half and improved to 4-0 against BCS conference opponents.
Oscar Bellfield had 11 points and 11 assists, and Mike Moser had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Rebels, who scored 80 or more for the eighth time this season.
Justin Cobbs had a team-high 20 points for the Bears (10-3), who fell to 1-4 all-time against UNLV. Allen Crabbe added 13 and Harper Kamp had 12 points and nine rebounds.
The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for California, which still hasn’t earned a road win this season. The Bears shot only 37.7 percent from the field and were outrebounded 45-35.
