Oscar da Silva recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 24 points and a game-high 11 rebounds Thursday night, helping Stanford end a two-game losing streak with a 70-55 victory over California in Berkeley, Calif.

The teams will meet again Sunday night at Stanford.

Matt Bradley matched da Silva's game-high point total for Cal (7-13, 2-11 Pac-12), but the Stanford star had better support. The Cardinal's Jaiden Delaire chipped in with 14 points and freshman Noah Taitz had 10 in just his third double-figure game of the season.

Stanford (11-7, 7-5) outshot Cal 54.2 percent to 36 percent and won despite once again playing without three key players, including star freshman Ziaire Williams.

The Cardinal led just 46-43 after Bradley converted a three-point play with 14:11 remaining in the game.

Stanford then held the Golden Bears scoreless for 6 1/2 minutes, during which da Silva had a pair of hoops and Spencer Jones sank a 3-pointer in a 9-0 run that opened a 12-point lead with 8:40 to play.

Cal got as close as eight on two subsequent occasions before Delaire's 3-pointer with 3:51 remaining pushed Stanford's lead back to 12 points and effectively sealed the win.

Jones finished with eight points, four assists and three steals for Stanford. He and Delaire made two 3-pointers apiece to account for the Cardinal's team total of four.

Andre Kelly had 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Cal, which lost its fifth straight game. The nine other Golden Bears who saw action combined aside from Bradley and Kelly combined for just 16 points.

A 3-pointer by Bradley, who had five in the game, gave Cal a brief lead at 16-13 in the 10th minute of the contest before Stanford dominated the rest of the first half.

Jones hit a 3-pointer and da Silva had two baskets in a 13-2 burst that immediately followed Bradley's 3-pointer and gave the Cardinal the lead for good.

Stanford led 42-29 at the break.
