No. 4 Miami (Fla.) 74, Florida State 68: Shane Larkin scored 13 of his game-high 22 points in the final 10 minutes and the visiting Hurricanes held off a late rally to win their 12th straight game.

Reggie Johnson recorded 14 points, including a free throw with 19.8 seconds left that gave Miami (20-3, 11-0 ACC) a 70-66 lead. Durand Scott added 13 points and Julian Gamble had 10 for the Hurricanes, who won at Florida State for the first time since 2006.

Okaro White led the way with 15 points for Florida State (13-11, 5-6) before fouling out with 2:04 remaining. The Seminoles pulled within 69-66 and had a chance to tie, but Ian Miller’s 3-pointer rimmed out with 21 seconds to go.

Miami fell behind by 11 early before scoring 25 of the next 30 points to take control and settled for a 38-30 lead at intermission. Johnson had eight points and the Hurricanes shot 73.9 percent (17-of-23) from the field in the opening 20 minutes -- 63.8 for the game.

The Hurricanes built the lead up to 12 after a 3-pointer by Larkin, followed by a three-point play by Scott. Terry Whisnant came off the bench to score eight points during a 12-0 run as Florida State tied the game at 51 with 10:10 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Johnson, who was 5-of-5 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds, became the 34th Miami player to score 1,000 points in his career. He has 1,005. … Devon Bookert added 12 points for Florida State, which dropped to 6-7 overall at home. … Miami became the first ACC team to start 11-0 in the league since North Carolina in 2000-01.
