DeMarcus Cousins had 25 points and nine rebounds to lead Sacramento, which has lost four of five games on a season-long six-game road trip. The Kings fell to 5-20 away from home.
The Kings started out hot, racing out to an 18-6 lead before things went awry. The Knicks closed the first quarter on a 19-4 run to take the lead and had stretched the margin to 44-22 before Sacramento scored its first field goal of the second quarter with 6:39 left in the half.
The big cushion allowed the Knicks to rest their stars. Carmelo Anthony played only 27 minutes, matching his season low with nine points. Anthony surpassed the 17,000-point mark for his career but also had his franchise-record streak of 20-point games snapped at 31.
