Joey Meneses had three hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs and the Washington Nationals beat the visiting Milwaukee Brewers 5-3 on Monday night.
Lane Thomas added two hits and two RBIs for the Nationals, who rallied from a 3-2 deficit in the seventh.
Jordan Weems (2-0) pitched one-third of an inning for the win and Kyle Finnegan worked the ninth for his 15th save.
Joey Wiemer homered and Christian Yelich had three hits for the Brewers, who have lost four straight.
As expected, both teams were busy one day before the trade deadline.
The Brewers acquired outfielder Mark Canha, 34, and cash from the Mets in exchange for right-handed pitching prospect Justin Jarvis.
Washington sent infielder Jeimer Candelario, 29, to the Chicago Cubs for a pair of minor-leaguers -- left-handed pitcher DJ Herz and shortstop Kevin Made.
Trailing 3-2 in the seventh, Washington plated three runs.
Corey Dickerson led off with a double against Elvis Peguero (2-4) and Alex Call walked. With one out, Thomas lined a single to left, scoring Dickerson, and Call went to second. After the runners advanced on a Keibert Ruiz groundout, Meneses lined a single to center that scored both to make it 5-3.
The Nationals took a 1-0 lead in the second when Meneses led off with his eighth homer of the season.
Milwaukee tied it in the third when Yelich and William Contreras hit back-to-back, two-out doubles.
In the Washington fifth, CJ Abrams walked with one out and stole second. Thomas followed with a single to center and the Nationals led 2-1.
Sal Frelick walked with one out in the Brewers sixth. Willy Adames singled Frelick to second before Frelick scored on a single by Andruw Monasterio to tie it.
The Brewers took a 3-2 lead when Wiemer homered with one out in the seventh.
Milwaukee starter Corbin Burnes gave up two runs on four hits in six innings, striking out five and walking three. Washington starter Jake Irvin allowed two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings with two strikeouts and two walks.
