Paul DeJong homered, singled twice and drove in four runs, Wilmer Flores homered, singled and knocked in two runs and the San Francisco Giants defeated the host Philadelphia Phillies 8-6 in 10 innings on Wednesday.

Michael Conforto, Thairo Estrada, Austin Slater and Wade Meckler each had two hits for the Giants, who averted a three-game series sweep.

Giants starter Alex Cobb gave up five hits and two runs with four strikeouts and no walks in five-plus innings.

Camilo Doval, who suffered his sixth blown save on Tuesday, allowed a three-run, game-tying home run to Bryce Harper in the ninth inning. Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner walked, and Harper clanged a homer off the right field foul pole.

Jakob Junis (4-3) earned the win in relief and Ryan Walker, the 10th Giants pitcher, picked up his first career save.

Harper homered, singled and knocked in three runs while Schwarber and Turner each hit a solo home run for the Phillies.

Phillies starter Michael Lorenzen tossed 5 2/3 innings and allowed eight hits and four runs with four strikeouts and three walks.

Closer Craig Kimbrel (7-4) took the loss.

DeJong hit a two-run single off Kimbrel in the 10th inning and the Giants took a 7-5 lead. Estrada added a sacrifice fly to center, with Meckler scoring for an 8-5 advantage just before DeJong was doubled off first.

Edmundo Sosa hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 10th to slice the deficit to 8-6.

The Giants went ahead 1-0 in the first when Flores hit a homer to left center.

Flores added an RBI single to right in the third for a 2-0 advantage. The Giants then loaded the bases with two outs, but Conforto flied out to center.

San Francisco took a 4-0 advantage when DeJong blasted a two-run homer to left in the fourth. The Giants signed DeJong and he joined the 26-man roster before Wednesday's game.

Harper singled with two outs in the fourth for the Phillies' first hit. Harper appeared to tweak his knee, and after a brief visit from manager Rob Thomson and the athletic trainer, he remained in the game.

Schwarber and Turner hit back-to-back homers to open the sixth as the Phillies closed within 4-2.

Slater snapped an 0-for-24 skid with an RBI double in the seventh for a 5-2 advantage.
