Rangers 4, Kings 3: Defenseman Dan Boyle scored a power-play goal and set up another as visiting New York erased an early deficit with four consecutive goals and held on to post its fourth straight victory.
Blue-liner Kevin Klein, Lee Stempniak and Martin St. Louis also tallied for the Rangers, who have won 12 of 13 overall and seven of eight on the road. Derick Brassard notched two assists and Cam Talbot made 28 saves in his first start since Dec. 21.
Justin Williams scored a pair of goals and Tanner Pearson netted one for the Kings, who fell to 0-1-1 on their seven-game homestand. Captain Dustin Brown recorded a pair of assists and Jonathan Quick turned aside 22 shots as Los Angeles lost in regulation for just the second time in nine contests (4-2-3).
The Kings got off to a quick start as Jeff Carter carried the puck down the right wing before dishing it to Pearson, who converted from the doorstep 4:12 into the contest. Williams doubled the lead 97 seconds later, beating Talbot to the glove side with a blast from the top of the right faceoff circle.
Boyle began New York's comeback midway through the opening period with a slap shot from the left point, Klein knotted the game 2 1/2 minutes into the second with a wrist shot from the blue line and Stempniak put the Rangers ahead 19 seconds later, beating a screened Quick from the high slot. St. Louis made it 4-2 with the man advantage at 8:17 as he buried a loose puck from alone on the right side of the crease before Williams made things interesting by knocking a rebound out of mid-air and past Talbot with 4:03 left in the third.
