The San Diego Chargers picked off Peyton Manning four times and returned two of them for touchdowns on the way to a 36-14 win over the Colts in Indianapolis on Sunday night.
Kevin Burnett and Eric Weddle returned Manning interceptions for touchdowns. Mike Tolbert also scored for San Diego, which won its fourth straight game.
Both teams are 6-5 on the season.
The Colts scored first when Manning hit tight end Jacob Tamme from 4 yards out. But San Diego got the first of five Nate Kaeding field goals to cut the deficit to 7-3 before Burnett returned Manning’s first interception 29 yards to give the Chargers a 10-7 lead.
San Diego never trailed again.
The Chargers led 16-14 at half after Manning connected with Blair White on a 6-yard touchdown pass with just 22 seconds left in the second quarter. But San Diego outscored Indianapolis 20-0 in the second half.
Philip Rivers was 19 for 23 passing for 185 yards. Manning finished 31 for 48 passing for 285 yards and a passer rating of just 59.8.
Tolbert led the ground game with 103 yards on 26 carries.
