EUGENE, Ore. -- Sophomore forward Dillon Brooks scored 21 points to lead Oregon to a 94-73 win over Long Beach State on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena.

Guard Tyler Dorsey added 17 points and forward Chris Boucher had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Ducks improved to 9-2. Guard Travis Hammonds had 27 points to pace the 49ers (6-7).

Forward Elgin Cook put Oregon ahead 42-39 with a basket to open the second half before Long Beach State scored nine straight points to take its first lead.

Guard Nick Faust made a free throw before guard A.J. Spencer scored six straight points. Guard Justin Bibbins added a short jumper as the 49ers went ahead 48-42 with 17:58 remaining in the game.

Brooks followed with a 3-pointer and a jumper to get the Ducks within 48-47 with 16:40 left. Brooks scored again and Cook added two free throws to put Oregon ahead 51-48 before Faust scored four straight points to put the 49ers up 52-51.

Boucher made two free throws to put Oregon ahead 53-52 and guard Casey Benson added two more free throws for the Ducks. Forward Mason Riggins made a free throw for Long Beach State, but Oregon forward Dwayne Benjamin drove for a basket and Boucher added four straight points to put the Ducks ahead 61-53.

Hammonds made six 3-pointers in the first half while scoring 21 points, but Oregon led 40-39 at the break.

Guard Tyler Dorsey opened the game with a 3-pointer and Benson added a basket as the Ducks took an early 5-0 lead. Forward Jordan Bell put Oregon ahead 17-11 on a basket before Hammonds hit back-to-back 3-pointers to get the 49ers within 19-17.

Long Beach State guard Noah Blackwell made a 3-pointer to cut Oregon's lead to 28-27, but the Ducks extended the margin to 40-35 on a basket by Boucher before Hammonds scored the final four points of the half.
