All five starters scored in double figures for the Hoosiers (19-2, 7-1 Big Ten), who shot 48 percent from 3-point range and were 19-of-20 from the free-throw line. Christian Watford and Victor Oladipo each had 17 points, with Watford hitting four 3-pointers.
Hammons had a career-high 30 points to lead Purdue (11-10, 4-4), while Ronnie Johnson added 13.
