Sophomore guard Jared Cunningham scored a team-high 19 points to lead a balanced effort, and host Oregon State ended years of frustration against No. 19 Washington with a 68-56 victory on Thursday night.
The upset snapped a eight-game losing streak for the Beavers (9-12, 4-6 Pac-10) against the Huskies (15-6, 7-3), and avenged Washington's 103-72 victory Jan. 10.
It was also Oregon State coach Craig Robinson's first victory over the Huskies.
Cunningham was 13 for 17 from the free-throw line as the Beavers attempted 38 free throws to Washington's 19.
Senior guard Calvin Haynes added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Beavers, who had six players score eight points or more.
The Huskies were led by Scott Suggs' 18 points, followed by 12 points and eight rebounds from Matthew Bryan-Amaning.
After a 32-32 tie at halftime, the Beavers held the lead throughout most of the second half and took control in the final eight minutes with a 17-6 run.
Guard Isaiah Thomas was limited to nine points on 2-for-11 shooting with seven turnovers as the Huskies dropped to second in the Pac-10 after Arizona's 78-69 victory at Stanford on Thursday.
