Pelicans 104, Knicks 93: Tyreke Evans scored 27 points and dished out six assists as host New Orleans sent New York to its ninth consecutive loss.
Anthony Davis overcame a slow start to finish with 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for the Pelicans, who have won back-to-back games for the first time in 3 1/2 weeks. Omer Asik collected 16 points and 14 rebounds and Jrue Holiday contributed 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds as New Orleans snapped a five-game home losing streak against New York.
Amar'e Stoudemire poured in a season-high 26 points and blocked five shots to lead the Knicks, who have dropped 10 straight on the road. Carmelo Anthony collected 17 points and eight rebounds and J.R. Smith added 17 points off the bench for New York.
The Knicks held their last lead of the night at 52-50 after a Stoudemire jumper with 2:11 left in the second quarter, but Holiday hit a jumper and fed Asik for a dunk to send the Pelicans to the break with a 54-52 lead. New York twice got within one in the third quarter but couldn't pull even or take the lead.
New Orleans took a 77-73 lead into the fourth quarter and extended the margin to double figures when Holiday opened the final stanza with a three-point play and Austin Rivers followed with a 3-pointer. The Knicks didn't get closer than eight the rest of the way.
