The Minnesota Timberwolves held the visiting New Jersey Nets to just nine points in the third quarter and cruised to a 103-88 win on Saturday night.
Kevin Love notched his 20th straight double-double by finishing with a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds. Darko Milicic added 16 points for the Timberwolves.
New Jersey rallied from a seven-point deficit in the first quarter to take a 55-54 lead at the half. But the Timberwolves scored the first 14 points of the third quarter to take control of the game.
Minnesota (9-25) capped its game-changing run with a pair of free throws by Michael Beasley. The Nets missed their first six shots of the third quarter and turned the ball over four times during the span.
Sasha Vujacic led the Nets with 22 points.
New Jersey (9-25) lost its fifth straight game and its 13th in its last 14 road games. The Nets never got closer than 11 points in the fourth quarter.
