Dre Davis scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-19 shooting to carry Seton Hall past Georgetown 76-70 on Wednesday night in Newark, N.J.

Davis scored in double figures for the 13th consecutive game and added 10 rebounds for his second straight double-double as Seton Hall (15-8, 8-4 Big East) swept the season series with Georgetown.

Kadary Richmond tallied 20 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in his return to the Pirates' starting lineup. Richmond missed two games in January with soreness before coming off the bench Seton Hall's last time out. Al-Amir Dawes scored 11 points.

Dontrez Styles scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half for Georgetown (8-14, 1-10). Supreme Cook put up 20 points and 11 rebounds, Jayden Epps scored 15 points to go along with seven assists and Jay Heath had 10 points for the Hoyas, who lost their seventh straight game.

Seton Hall never trailed and held Georgetown to 36 percent shooting from the field while making 43.1 percent of its attempts from the floor.

But the Hoyas whittled an 11-point deficit to five in the final minute after Epps knocked down a clutch 3-pointer and Cook added a layup and a three-point play.

Following a pair of Richmond free throws, Dylan Addae-Wusu missed a coast-to-coast layup for Seton Hall, and Wayne Bristol Jr. scored for Georgetown to once again cut the gap to five before the Pirates escaped.

The Pirates opened the game on a 14-for-26 shooting spree, leading by as many as nine points on Isaiah Coleman's long 2-pointer.

Bristol and Styles answered with consecutive 3-pointers to slice the Hoyas' deficit to 26-23. Davis hit a 3-pointer and added a layup for Seton Hall's response.

The Hoyas' late 8-2 run made it a two-point game, but Dawes' 3-pointer from the top of the key in the final minute of the first half put Seton Hall up 38-33 at intermission.

Seton Hall big man Elijah Hutchins-Everett converted a three-point play and knocked down a trey to keep the Pirates ahead 46-40 with 16:23 to go in the second half.

They built a 51-40 lead before going scoreless for a stretch of 4:14. Georgetown crept closer, and five straight points from Heath brought it within 53-49 with 8:50 left.

Cook's two dunks 70 seconds apart, the latter on an easy breakaway, trimmed the margin to 56-53. Richmond and Davis combined to score the next six points, and Dawes' triple restored a double-digit Pirates lead at 65-54 with 3:59 left.
