Kevin Martin scored 31 points and Kyle Lowry had a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Houston Rockets to a 107-92 victory over the host Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Samuel Dalembert grabbed 15 rebounds as Houston recorded its seventh straight victory and won in Minnesota for the eighth consecutive time.
Kevin Love had a season-best 39 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Minnesota. Love was 5-for-5 from 3-point range while topping 30 points for the fifth time this season.
Martin had 21 first-half points and Houston led 54-47 at halftime. Minnesota dominated the first 10 minutes of the third quarter and took a 70-65 lead on Derrick Williams’ basket with 2:11 remaining.
The Rockets responded with a 19-1 run over the next four minutes to take an 84-71 lead with 10:02 to play. Martin’s 3-pointer with 5:28 left expanded Houston’s lead to 15 points.
Luis Scola scored 15 points, Goran Dragic tallied 14 points and Patrick Patterson had 13 points for the Rockets, who are on their longest winning streak since winning 22 consecutive games during the 2007-08 campaign.
Luke Ridnour had 17 points and eight assists for the Timberwolves. Ricky Rubio had 12 assists and Williams scored 11 points.
