Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 23 points and the Atlanta Hawks used an exceptional 3-point shooting performance to defeat the host Orlando Magic 130-109 on Wednesday night in the final game for both teams before the All-Star break.
Atlanta raced out to a 72-53 halftime lead by sinking 13 of 19 3-point attempts -- in addition to 11 of 13 foul shots. Trae Young was 4-for-4 on long-range attempts prior to the break and Bogdanovic came off the bench to hit four treys in 12 minutes.
Bogdanovic, who was listed as questionable due to left ankle soreness, finished 9-for-13 from the floor. Young scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half.
Young, chosen an All-Star starter for the second time in his career, also dished out six assists and converted all eight of his free throws.
The Hawks led by as many as 32 points in the fourth quarter as they concluded the regular-season series against Orlando with three wins in four games. Atlanta has won two in a row overall.
Playing without injured power forward John Collins (foot) for the third straight game, Atlanta shot 50 percent (45-for-90) from the floor and 54.5 percent (18-for-33) from 3-point range. Atlanta has made at least 10 3-pointers in five straight games and 17 of the past 19.
Kevin Huerter scored 15 points, making three 3-pointers as he passed Dominique Wilkins for the seventh-most made treys (501) in franchise history.
De'Andre Hunter added 14 points and Onyeka Okongwu scored 12 points on 6-for-7 shooting for Atlanta. Danilo Gallinari had 11 points, Delon Wright scored 10 points and Clint Capela totaled eight points and nine rebounds.
Orlando's Cole Anthony, who was considered questionable pregame because of a sprained right ankle, scored 16 of his 23 points in the first half. He ended the night with seven rebounds and five assists.
Jalen Suggs chipped in 19 points, Franz Wagner contributed 12 points, Mo Bamba had 11 points and nine rebounds and Wendell Carter Jr. posted 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. The Magic took their fourth consecutive loss.
Atlanta's Lou Williams appeared in his 985th career game off the bench, moving him past Dell Curry for most games played as a reserve in NBA history. Williams finished with nine points in 18 minutes.
