Bills 21, Packers 13: Dan Carpenter kicked four field goals and host Buffalo benefited from a swarming defensive performance to keep Aaron Rodgers in check and maintain its flickering postseason hopes.
Defensive end Mario Williams blocked an attempted field goal and forced a fumble on a sack of Rodgers, resulting in a game-sealing safety with 1:51 remaining in the fourth quarter. Marcus Thigpen had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown and safety Bacarri Rambo recorded his first two career interceptions in the second half for the Bills (8-6), who have won three in a row at home.
Eddie Lacy rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown for the Packers (10-4), who saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. After throwing for 16 touchdowns and no interceptions in his previous five games, Rodgers went 17-of-42 for 185 yards with two picks while Randall Cobb had seven receptions for 96 yards.
Lacy rushed five times for 57 yards on a drive he capped by barreling over right tackle for a 1-yard touchdown early in the second quarter to give Green Bay a 10-7 lead. Carpenter capped the ensuing 10-play drive with a 27-yard field goal and converted from 51 and 35 yards out in the third before booting a 48-yarder 5 1/2 minutes into the fourth to give Buffalo a 19-10 advantage.
Mason Crosby trimmed the deficit with a 34-yard field goal and Green Bay had possession with 1:58 remaining in the fourth before Williams stripped the ball from Rodgers. Lacy recovered it, but the play was ruled dead because another player cannot advance a fumble with less than two minutes remaining in a half.
