Cedric Martin had a game-high 17 points as Utah snapped a four-game losing streak with a 64-43 victory over visiting Arizona State on Saturday.
Martin, a junior, made 5-of-7 3-point attempts in the first half for the Utes, who opened the game with a 12-0 run before taking a 38-21 lead into halftime.
Chris Hines finished with 14 points and Kareem Storey added 12 for the Utes, who won their sixth straight at home over the Sun Devils.
Utah (5-14, 2-5 Pac-12) started the second half much like the first and scored 11 unanswered points - capped by Javon Dawson’s free throw - to build its lead to 49-21 with 12:26 remaining.
Arizona State (6-13, 2-5), meanwhile, missed its first eight shots of the second half and didn’t record a basket in the first eight minutes. The 43 points represented the Sun Devils’ lowest total since scoring 41 in a loss to Stanford on Jan. 6, 2011.
Carrick Felix had 13 points for Arizona State, which shot 38.6 percent and committed 13 turnovers. Kyle Cain and Jordan Bachynski each finished with 10 points.
Utah improved to 5-5 at home, 2-2 in the Pac-12. The Utes have had a winning home record in each of their last 38 seasons.
