Keaton Winn pitched six strong innings to earn his second major league victory as the San Francisco Giants got past the host Miami Marlins 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Camilo Doval pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his third save of the season. Two of those saves came against the Marlins as the Giants won two of three in the series.

Giants second baseman Thairo Estrada went 2-for-4 with an RBI double. He also singled and scored when the Giants went ahead for good in the seventh inning.

Winn (1-3) allowed just four hits, one walk and one run. He struck out four to improve his career record to 2-6.

Marlins starter Trevor Rogers took a no-decision, allowing four hits, no walks and one run in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six.

Reliever Declan Cronin (0-2) took the loss after allowing one run on two hits in that crucial seventh inning.

Miami, which was led by Bryan De La Cruz's homer, has lost six straight series to open the season.

San Francisco opened the scoring in the second inning as former Marlins slugger Jorge Soler stroked a leadoff single and scored from first on Estrada's one-out double to the left-field corner. Marlins left fielder Nick Gordon bobbled the ball, helping Soler score.

Miami tied the score in the sixth as De La Cruz homered on an opposite-field shot to right. He hit a 2-1 fastball 363 feet.

The Giants took a 2-1 lead in the seventh. Estrada singled and advanced to third on Patrick Bailey's single. Estrada scored when Nick Ahmed bounced into a double play.

Giants center fielder Jung Hoo Lee started another rally in the eighth as he lined a two-out single. Lee advanced to second on Soler's single and scored on Matt Chapman's opposite-field double to right.

The Marlins threatened in the eighth as Avisail Garcia and Emmanuel Rivera stroked pinch-hit singles. But Luis Arraez grounded into a double play to end the inning.
