IOWA STATE 69, TEXAS A&M 46: Chris Allen scored a career-high 25 points and Iowa State took control early and dominated Texas A&M 69-46 to complete a season sweep of the Aggies. With the win, Iowa State (18-7, 8-4 Big 12) moved into a tie for third place with No. 6 Baylor, who the Cyclones play on Monday in Waco, Tex.
Iowa State, which led 30-19 at halftime, used 15 second half points from Allen and hit Texas A&M (12-12, 3-9 Big 12) with an 18-3 run in the first eight minutes of the second half to extend the lead to 48-22 and the rout was on. The win also snapped a three-game losing streak for ISU at home against the Aggies, who have now lost four in a row and five of six.
Scott Christopherson added 10 points for Iowa State while Royce White and Melvin Ejim each grabbed 10 rebounds. David Loubeau led Texas A&M with 10 points, the only Aggie to reach double digits.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The 19 points by Texas A&M in the first half was the first time since Feb. 2009 that Iowa State held a Big 12 opponent to less than 20 points in a half ... Allen, who had a career-best six 3-pointers in the loss at Oklahoma State earlier this week, had five on Saturday and now has 11 in his last two game ... Texas A&M forward Khris Middleton, a preseason All-Big 12 selection, returned on Saturday after missing the previous five games with a knee injury. He came off the bench and scored five points in 18 minutes.
