South Florida used last-minute free throws to beat Texas Tech 64-61on Saturday in the consolation game of the South Padre Island Invitational.
The Bulls (4-3) made 5-of-6 foul shots down the stretch to win the game.
Ron Anderson Jr. had 16 points to lead South Florida and Augustus Gilchrist added 10 points and nine rebounds. Mike Bruwell started in place of Anthony Crater, who has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle, and himself played on an injury suffered in the first half.
Texas Tech (4-3) got 16 points from John Roberson and 11 from Mike Singletary. Roberson also had four assists and four steals for the Red Raiders.
