Behind the hot shooting of Charvez Davis, Alabama had little trouble in a 71-51 non-conference victory Tuesday over Lipscomb at the Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa.
Davis, a senior guard, had a season-high 22 points, shooting a sparkling 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Sophomore forward Tony Mitchell added 16 points for Alabama, followed by 12 points from JaMychal Green.
The Crimson Tide (6-6) took control of the game near the end of the first half, using an 11-2 run over the last five minutes to take a 35-21 lead. Davis scored 13 of his points in the half.
The Crimson Tide withstood an early Lipscomb charge in the second half. Lipscomb closed within 45-26 early in the second half after a 3-pointer from Jordan Burgason, but they would never get any closer as its five-game winning streak came to an end.
Burgason's 13 points led the Bison, who fall to 7-3 overall and will take off before heading to No. 17 Memphis on Dec. 30.
The game was just the first of three straight non-conference home games for Alabama, which will host Pepperdine on Dec. 28.
