Baylor looked like a top-10 team in a 68-54 win over Arizona State, Thursday in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood series in Waco, Texas.
The 10th-ranked Bears improved to 6-0 behind another big night from LaceDarius Dunn. The senior all-conference guard dropped 24 on the Sun Devils. Dunn has scored at least 20 points in each of his three games since returning from a suspension to start the season.
Coming off of last year’s run to the Elite 8, Baylor is picked to contend in what’s shaping up to be a tough Big 12 conference. Thursday’s win was the Bears’ most impressive so far. They dominated the Sun Devils on the backboards, 36-21, and forced 17 turnovers.
Baylor led by six at halftime and held a double-digit lead for the last eight minutes of the game.
Rihards Kuksiks led Arizona State with 13 points. The 54 points were a season-low for the Sun Devils, who have lost two straight, They'll look to bounce back on Dec. 5 against a Richmond team that owns an upset of No. 22 Purdue.
The Bears, who are enjoying their highest ranking in school history, have 13 days off before hosting Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 15 and No. 24 Gonzaga on Dec. 18.
