Ralston Turner scored 15 points to lead three LSU players in double figures, and the Tigers won their third consecutive game, beating visiting Houston 73-57 on Tuesday.

Coming off one of their best shooting performances in four years in Sunday's win against South Alabama, the Tigers continued their solid play at the offensive end. They shot 50 percent (26-of-52) from the field.

Turner scored 15, Andre Stringer added 13, and Storm Warren had 12 for the Tigers, who have won three straight for the first time since last December. Stringer did almost all of his damage at the free-throw line, hitting 11-of-12 there.

LSU (5-2) has an 11-day layoff before resuming its string of six more home games in a row. The Tigers don't begin SEC play until Jan. 8 at Auburn.

Houston (4-3) shot 42.6 percent from the field, including 6-of-15 from 3-point range, but the Cougars were just 5-of-12 (41.7 percent) from the free-throw line.

Adam Brown scored 15 points, and Kendrick Washington added 10 for Houston, which has lost the first two of three consecutive road games. That string wraps up Saturday at Sam Houston State.
