John Shurna and Michael Thompson teamed up to lead Northwestern to another victory.

Shurna scored 23 points and Thompson added 18 to lift the Wildcats to a 65-52 WIN on Sunday.

Northwestern (4-0) led 40-32 at the half thanks to Shurna, who had 14 points, and Thompson, who added 10 and was 5-of-5 from the field in the opening 20 minutes.

No other player had more than seven points for the Wildcats, who led by 16 with 8:35 to play and never let the Blue Jays get closer than eight the rest of the way.

Looking for its first ever trip to the NCAA tournament, Northwestern is off to a 4-0 start for the first time in 17 years. The Wildcats would do well to rack up as many wins as they can in their non-conference slate as they open Big Ten Conference play with games against Purdue, Michigan State and Illinois in a span of seven days.

Antoine Young scored 18 points and added five assists and Doug McDermott added 14 points for Creighton. Kenny Lawson Jr. had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Bluejays (4-2).
