Rotnei Clark poured in 17 of his 20 points in the first half to lead Arkansas to a 75-52 victory over Grambling State in its season opener Thursday night in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Razorbacks grabbed an early 15-3 lead and were never seriously threatened after that, slowly stretching the advantage to 42-22 by the midway point and coasting from there. Clark connected on four 3-point shots before the intermission to help Arkansas pull away.
Grambling State (0-3) got 13 points from Justin Patton and 12 from Peter Roberson. The Tigers hit just 15-of-43 shots (34.9 percent) from the field and committed 20 turnovers.
