Guard L.J. Peak scored 24 points and hot-shooting Georgetown proved too much for LaSalle in a 93-78 victory over the Explorers in the Hoophall Miami Invitational on Saturday.

The Hoyas (6-4) led 47-41 at halftime, but the Explorers started the second half on a roll and tied the game at 67 with 8:44 to play. But guard Rodney Pryor answered with a layup on the ensuing possession, sparking a 6-0 run that put the Hoyas ahead for good.

LaSalle never came within one possession again, and Georgetown ended the game on a 25-11 run for its fourth victory in a row.

Pryor added 19 points for the Hoyas, while guard Jessie Govan had 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Center Jagan Mosely had 14 points and six assists.

The Hoyas finished 7-for-12 from 3-point range, and shot 53.2 percent from the field. The big impact for Georgetown came at the free-throw line, where the team made 36 of 43 attempts.

Both teams suffered from foul trouble: center Tony Washington and forward Demetrius Henry fouled out for LaSalle, while three Georgetown players finished with four fouls.

Guard Jordan Price scored 23 points to lead LaSalle. Guard B.J. Johnson had 19, with guard Pookie Powell contributing 10 points and seven rebounds. LaSalle shot just 41 percent from the field.

This was the first time Georgetown and LaSalle played since 1980.
