No. 22 Memphis 76, Central Florida 70: Joe Jackson scored a team-high 18 points and the host Tigers used a big late run to continue their dominance of the Knights in an American Athletic Conference game.

Memphis (19-5, 8-3 AAC) got 14 points and six rebounds from Shaq Goodwin as it improved to 17-1 all-time against Central Florida. Chris Crawford and Michael Dixon Jr. each added 10 points for the Tigers, who won their third straight game and capped a season sweep of the Knights.

Central Florida (9-13, 1-10) was led by Tristan Spurlock with 18 points and 10 rebounds but lost its ninth straight game. The Knights, whose lone win in the conference came against Temple in early January, also got 14 points from Isaiah Sykes while falling into the conference cellar.

Memphis, which is 27-4 against teams from Florida since 2000, used a 16-0 run to build a double-digit lead in the first half. Trailing 16-13, the Tigers got 3-pointers from Geron Johnson and Crawford during the burst and Memphis took a 36-30 lead into the break.

Central Florida opened the second half on a 9-2 run to reclaim the lead, getting the final four points of the spurt on putbacks by Sykes and Staphon Blair. Leading 53-52, the Tigers regained control late, using a 15-2 run which included six points on one possession when Memphis players were fouled twice after making baskets and grabbed offensive rebounds on the missed free throws.
