Texas A&M 83, LSU 73: Jamal Jones scored 19 points as the Aggies handed the Tigers their fourth straight SEC road loss.
Jones went 5-of-10 from 3-point range and Kourtney Roberson added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Texas A&M (14-10, 5-6), which improved to 13-2 at home. Freshman Davonte Fitzgerald added 11 points off the bench before leaving late in the first half with a knee injury.
Shavon Coleman recorded 21 points to lead LSU (15-8, 6-5) and Johnny O'Bryant III added 15 and six rebounds. Jordan Mickey chipped in 13 points and seven boards.
Texas A&M held LSU without a field goal for the final 4:51 of the first half, using an 11-4 run during that span to build a 43-37 halftime lead. Fitzgerald started the run with his third 3-pointer of the game but was hurt 2 1/2 minutes later.
Coleman hit a 3-pointer and O'Bryant scored the other five points in an 8-0 run that pulled the Tigers within 51-47 early in the second half, but the Aggies answered with an 11-3 spurt for a double-digit lead. Anthony Hickey capped another LSU burst with a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 69-61 with just under four minutes remaining, but the Tigers never got closer.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas A&M's bench outscored LSU's 33-4. ... The Aggies won the rebounding battle (39-32) for the first time in 10 games. ... Texas A&M freshman F Tavario Miller recorded career highs in points (nine) and rebounds (seven) off the bench.
