Oklahoma 75, Texas Christian 48: Amath M’Baye scored 12 points and the host Sooners won their fifth consecutive game by routing the Horned Frogs in Big 12 play.
Romero Osby added 11 points and seven rebounds for Oklahoma (16-7, 7-4 Big 12), which exceeded last season’s victory total with the win.
Devonta Abron scored 12 points, Kyan Anderson tallied 11 and Connell Crossland added 10 for TCU (10-14, 1-10). The Horned Frogs shot 30.2 percent from the field while losing for the 10th time in 11 games.
TCU missed its first 14 shots from the field over the first 11 minutes while falling behind 15-1. Crossland’s basket with 8:50 left ended the drought and the Horned Frogs finished the half 4-of-24 as Oklahoma took a 36-11 lead at the break.
The onslaught continued in the second half, and the Sooners used a string of 13 consecutive points to boost the lead to 53-17 on Andrew Fitzgerald’s three-point play with 13:18 remaining.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma racked up nine steals while forcing 16 turnovers. … TCU’s 11 first-half points was the lowest in program history. … The Sooners last won more than 16 games in 2008-09, when the Blake Griffin-led squad compiled a 30-6 mark.
