Murphy Holloway had 14 points and 12 rebounds against his former team and Terrance Henry buried an uncontested 3-pointer with 19 seconds left as Mississippi held off visiting South Carolina 66-62 on Saturday.
The Rebels (14-7, 4-3 SEC) were coming off a home loss to Florida in which they blew a 16-point lead and let a 10-point lead get away before knocking off the Gamecocks.
South Carolina (9-11, 1-5) had a chance to take the lead in the final minute, but senior Malik Cooke missed the front end of a one-and-one to preserve the Rebels' one-point lead, and Henry's 3-pointer with 19 seconds left pushed the lead to 66-62.
Holloway, who transferred from Ole Miss to South Carolina last year but never played for the Gamecocks before going back to the Rebels, also had four assists. Henry finished with 15 points to lead four Rebels in double digits.
Cooke scored 17 points, and Brenton Williams added a career-high 15 off the bench for South Carolina, which dropped to 1-10 all-time in Oxford, Miss.
The Rebels held a 35-23 edge on the boards, continuing a trend of outrebounding SEC opponents by an average of just under 10 per game.
