Tony Parker scored 26 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 97-90 victory over the host Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
Manu Ginobili scored 18 points Tim Duncan added 17 as San Antonio (59-19) won its second straight game following a six-game skid and inched closer toward clinching the NBA's best record and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.
Joe Johnson scored 21 points and Jamal Crawford added 20 for Atlanta (44-34).
Johnson’s 18-footer pulled the Hawks within 81-79 with 6:48 to play before San Antonio went on an 11-3 run to take its first double-digit lead of the game at 92-82 on Antonio McDyess’ basket with 2:57 remaining.
George Hill added 13 points for San Antonio. Kirk Hinrich scored 13 points and Al Horford had 12 and nine rebounds for Atlanta.
Crawford scored the final seven points of an 11-0 first-quarter run in which the Hawks took a 21-14 lead.
Atlanta led by 11 after Horford’s basket with 4:56 left in the first half, but Duncan scored eight points during a 12-4 surge as San Antonio cut Atlanta’s lead to 46-43 at halftime.
