Russell Westbrook collected 28 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as visiting Oklahoma City crushed former teammate James Harden and Houston.

Harden, who went 3-for-16 in his first meeting against the Thunder last month, was slightly better on Saturday with 25 points on 6-of-17 shooting. Marcus Morris added 24 points, but the Rockets shot just 39.8 percent from the floor to lose for the second consecutive night.

Kevin Durant scored 26 points and Kevin Martin added 19 off the bench for Oklahoma City.

The Thunder closed the first quarter with a 12-2 burst to take a 31-26 lead and never trailed again. Durant hit a pair of 3-pointers and totaled 11 points during a 16-0 run that ended the first half and sent the Thunder into the locker room with a 68-50 advantage.

The lead grew as large as 29 points in the third quarter and pushed out to 117-83 on Martin’s 3-pointer with 5:07 left in the game before Oklahoma City emptied the bench.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Thunder won the first meeting 120-98 at home on Nov. 28. … Houston has dropped two straight on the heels of a five-game winning streak. The two losses have come against teams with a combined 46-14 record (San Antonio and Oklahoma City). … The Thunder dominated the glass, outrebounding the Rockets 53-36.
