Steven Jackson rushed for 102 yards and the game’s lone touchdown as the St. Louis Rams stayed at the top of the NFC West with a 19-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Josh Brown kicked four field goals and Sam Bradford passed for 187 yards for the Rams (6-6), who remained tied with the Seattle Seahawks atop the division. They face the Seahawks again in Week 17 in a matchup that could decide who gets a spot in the playoffs.
The teams traded field goals throughout the first half, with the Cardinals grabbing a 6-0 lead before Brown nailed two to tie it and gave St. Louis the lead for good with a 20-yarder right before the half.
The Rams finally got into the end zone in the third when Jackson broke free for a 27-yard scoring burst.
Brown added a 43-yard field goal early in the fourth to put the game further out of reach.
Arizona (3-9), which has had problems at quarterback all season following the retirement of Kurt Warner, used three different men behind center on Sunday, going from Derek Anderson to Max Hall and finally to third-stringer John Skelton.
The three combined to go 11 of 29 for 148 yards and two interceptions.
