No. 17 Oklahoma 71, Texas 69: Jordan Woodard scored 11 of his team-high 13 points in the second half as the Sooners closed the game on a 13-5 run and snapped the visiting Longhorns’ three-game winning streak.

Dinjiyl Walker and Frank Booker added 10 points apiece for Oklahoma (18-8, 9-5 Big 12), which secured with its fourth straight win against the Longhorns when Buddy Hield converted two foul shots with 5.2 seconds left. Hield, who came in averaging a league-high 17.4 points, was held to 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting – including 1-of-6 from 3-point range.

Freshman Myles Turner led Texas (17-9, 6-7) with 17 points, 10 rebounds and a season-high tying six blocks while Kendal Yancy matched his career high with 14 points. Javan Felix scored 10 points and Jonathan Holmes grabbed 11 rebounds for the Longhorns, who lost despite winning the battle of the boards 40-37 and holding the Sooners to 36.1 percent shooting.

Oklahoma held Texas scoreless for the final four minutes of the opening period and led 33-32 at the break despite shooting 34.4 percent. Turner, who has scored 42 points on 15-of-22 shooting over his last two games, drilled a 3-pointer with just over 12 minutes left to put Texas ahead 51-46.

Texas led 58-51 after Yancy’s 3-pointer with just under seven minutes left but the Sooners rebounded and Woodard scored to put Oklahoma ahead 66-64 with 1:33 remaining. Holmes missed a 3-point attempt on Texas’ next possession and Ryan Spangler capitalized with a basket to extend the Sooners’ lead to four with 30 seconds left.
