No. 8 Duke 80, No. 22 UCLA 63: Freshman sensation Jabari Parker collected 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Blue Devils held off the Bruins at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Rodney Hood added 14 points for Duke (9-2), which has won three straight since falling to top-ranked Arizona. Quinn Cook chipped in 14 points and eight steals for the Blue Devils.

Kyle Anderson recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while David Wear went 4-for-4 from 3-point range en route to 16 points to lead UCLA (9-2). Leading scorer Jordan Adams was held to 10 points as the Bruins suffered their second loss in three games.

Wear’s jumper knotted it at 45 less than four minutes into the second half, but Cook grabbed a steal on each of UCLA’s next two possessions and put Duke on top with a layup before 3-pointers from Hood and Parker made it a 53-47 gap. Parker capped a 7-0 burst with an emphatic dunk in the lane to push it to double figures at 57-47.

The Bruins were within 71-63 after Anderson’s layup with 2:34 left, but Rasheed Sulaimon answered with a 3-pointer for the Blue Devils and UCLA did not score again. Duke ended up outscoring the Bruins 43-26 in the second half to run away with it.
