Iowa State 87, No. 14 Oklahoma State 76: Will Clyburn scored 20 points and Melvin Ejim had 13 points and 12 rebounds to help the Cyclones upset the visiting Cowboys.

Georges Niang added 18 points for Iowa State (20-10, 10-7 Big 12), which snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 16-1 at home. Tyrus McGee scored 14 points off the bench and Korie Lucious chipped in 11 for the Cyclones, who came into the game fifth in the conference.

Marcus Smart had a game-high 24 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead Oklahoma State (22-7, 12-5), which had its three-game win streak snapped and fell to 5-5 on the road. Markel Brown and Le’Bryan Nash chipped in 14 points apiece for the Cowboys, who entered third in the Big 12, one game behind Kansas and Kansas State.

Iowa State went on a 30-9 run before Oklahoma State called its first timeout while trailing 30-15 with 7:23 left before halftime. Powered by Niang’s 12 points, the Cyclones led 39-29 at intermission.

Oklahoma State pulled within 70-68 on Smart’s dunk with 4:31 to play, but Iowa State countered with a 17-8 run to seal the victory. The Cyclones improved to 54-63 in the series against Oklahoma State, which won the previous two meetings, including 78-76 on Jan. 30 in Stillwater.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa State has won 11 of its last 15 Senior Night games. … The Cyclones, who came in leading the country in 3-pointers per game (9.9), made seven from long distance and lead the country in 3-pointers made with 295. … Brown registered one steal and needs one more to become the sixth player in school history with 100 steals and 75 blocked shots in a career.
