Tyler Seguin was one of five different Dallas skaters to score and finished with a pair of goals and an assist against his former team as the Stars toppled the visiting Boston Bruins 6-1 on Sunday night.
The former No. 2 overall pick by the Bruins in the 2010 draft opened the scoring with his unassisted goal on a tap-in at 6:54 of the first period. Seguin netted his second goal of the game and 14th of the season at 18:53 of the third.
Roope Hintz added his team-leading 20th goal and Alexander Radulov, Luke Glendening and Jamie Benn also scored for the Stars.
Jake Oettinger stopped 25 of 26 shots for Dallas, which bounced back from a 5-0 loss versus Washington on Friday with its fifth victory in six games.
Craig Smith netted the only goal for the Bruins. Linus Ullmark allowed four goals on 15 shots before being pulled in favor of rookie netminder Jeremy Swayman, who allowed a pair of goals and made 12 saves.
Boston fell for the third time in four games and has dropped four of seven since winning eight of nine following the NHL's COVID-related schedule pause.
Before the game, the Bruins placed forward Erik Haula into the NHL's COVID-19 protocol. Journeyman forward Steven Fogarty was recalled from the team's taxi squad to fill Haula's roster spot.
The Bruins earned a 3-1 season-opening victory against a visiting Stars team in the teams' first matchup on Oct. 16.
After Seguin's opening goal, Radulov scored at 15:23 of the first to put the Stars up 2-0.
Glendening scored at the 6:31 mark of the second before Benn's goal at 7:39 to break the game open. Hintz's power-play goal 4:55 into the third made it 5-0 before Smith put the Bruins on the board at the 5:49 mark.
Boston opens a three-game homestand versus Seattle on Tuesday night. Dallas continues its six-game homestand against Calgary on Tuesday.
