Brock Boeser scored the go-ahead goal on a power play early in the third period and Thatcher Demko made 31 saves to lift the visiting Vancouver Canucks to a 3-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
Elias Pettersson scored his third goal in two games and Juho Lammikko also tallied to send the Canucks to their second straight win.
Rookie Philip Tomasino scored a power-play goal and David Rittich turned aside 21 shots for the Predators, who have lost four in a row (0-3-1) following a sizzling 12-1-1 stretch.
With the score tied at 1-1, Nashville's Alexandre Carrier was whistled for high sticking at 3:34 of the third period. Vancouver wasted little time taking advantage, as J.T. Miller's shot from the left circle was deflected home by Boeser just seven seconds later.
The goal was Boeser's 10th of the season and second this campaign vs. the Predators. He also scored in a 3-2 setback to Nashville on Nov. 5.
The Canucks doubled the advantage after Tyler Motte's centering feed was slapped home by Lammikko with 7:41 remaining in the third period.
The Predators opened the scoring shortly after Boeser was whistled for a tripping penalty early in the second period.
Tomasino wired a shot from the right circle that sailed past Demko at 2:51 of the session. The goal was Tomasino's sixth of the season and second against Vancouver.
The Canucks answered 4 1/2 minutes later as Pettersson deposited a loose puck into the net after Vasily Podkolzin was denied on a backhand. The goal was Pettersson's ninth of the season.
Demko preserved the 1-1 tie by denying Michael McCarron on a partial breakaway during the final minute of the second period.
Vancouver's leading goal-scorer, Bo Horvat, did not play after entering the NHL's COVID-19 protocol earlier on Tuesday.
Nashville's Jeremy Davies registered three shots on goal in his season debut, but he finished with a game-worst minus-2 rating. He was summoned into the lineup with fellow defensemen Dante Fabbro (upper body) and Mattias Ekholm (COVID-19 protocol) sidelined.
