Ducks 4, Jets 1: Captain Ryan Getzlaf scored one goal and set up another as visiting Anaheim matched a season high with its seventh consecutive victory,

Jakob Silfverberg converted on the power play and Nate Thompson added a short-handed tally as the Ducks remained perfect in December and improved to 2-0-0 on their five-game Canadian road trip. Andrew Cogliano scored an empty-net goal while short-handed and Frederik Andersen, making his 18th consecutive start, turned aside 27 shots for his seventh win in a row.

Bryan Little netted the lone goal for Winnipeg, which failed to earn a point for the first time in nine games (5-1-3). Rookie Michael Hutchinson also made 27 saves to suffer his first regulation defeat since his season debut on Oct. 12.

Little scored the only goal of the first period 11 1/2 minutes in, beating Andersen to the glove side with a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle during a power play. Silfverberg ignited Anaheim's comeback at 6:15 of the second, snapping a wrister from the top of the left circle into the right corner of the net.

Getzlaf put the Ducks in front with a controversial goal, converting from the top of the right circle as Tim Jackman made contact with Hutchinson at the 8 1/2-minute mark. A misplay by Hutchinson behind the net provided the Ducks with an insurance tally, as Getzlaf swooped in and fed Thompson in front for the easy conversion with 2:06 left in the period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Getzlaf continued his recent tear as he has recorded four goals and 10 assists in his last eight games. ... Little's power-play tally was Winnipeg's 10th in its last 30 chances with the man advantage. ... The Jets were angered by Getzlaf's goal, which came with Jackman skating through the crease and appearing to catch Hutchinson in the mask with his elbow.
