Flyers 2, Rangers 1: Steve Mason made 37 saves in his first start in nearly two weeks and Jakub Voracek scored a power-play goal in the second period as host Philadelphia evened its Eastern Conference first-round series with New York at two games apiece.

Matt Read also tallied as the Flyers made good on captain Claude Giroux's "guarantee" that the team would win on Friday.

Dominic Moore scored early in the first period and Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 23 shots for the Rangers, who host Game 5 on Sunday afternoon. New York saw its nine-game home winning streak come to an end with a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia in Game 2.

With Moore serving his second minor penalty of the contest, Voracek redirected Brayden Schenn's pass from the slot at 7:22 of the middle period to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead. Mason made the slim advantage stand up and recorded his first career postseason win while making his first start since suffering an upper-body injury on April 12.

Moore exited the penalty box after serving his hooking penalty and unleashed a shot from the left faceoff circle that was denied by Mason. Moore settled the rebound and tucked the puck between the netminder's extended left pad and right post 4:38 into the contest to open the scoring. Read answered over four minutes later by one-timing the rebound of rookie Jason Akeson's shot off the end boards inside the right post.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Giroux made a bold proclamation mere moments after his team's lackluster performance in a 4-1 loss in Game 3 on Tuesday. "We'll be ready for Game 4," he told reporters. "We're going to tie up the series and go back to New York." ... Lundqvist made his 70th consecutive postseason start for the Rangers. ... New York D Dan Girardi moved into a tie with Steve Vickers and Adam Graves for ninth place on the franchise list for postseason games with 68. ... Philadelphia D Nicklas Grossmann suffered a lower-body injury early in the second period after falling awkwardly into the boards. He did not return.
