Captain Mike Richards collected two goals and two assists and Michael Leighton won in his return from back surgery as the visiting Philadelphia Flyers scored four times in the second period en route to a 7-4 triumph over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
Daniel Briere netted his team-leading 18th tally and added an assist in his 700th career game and James van Riemsdyk and Jeff Carter also scored and set up a goal for Philadelphia (23-9-5).
Scott Hartnell and Ville Leino netted their respective ninth goals of the season and Claude Giroux notched three assists for the Flyers, who improved to 11-3-3 away from home this season.
Leighton made his first start of the season and finished with 32 saves. Leighton, who helped guide the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, has been sidelined with a balky back.
Defenseman Jack Johnson and Dustin Brown netted a power-play goal apiece and Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams also tallied for Los Angeles (22-14-1), which dropped its second straight after a four-game winning streak.
The Kings also fell for just the third time (13-3-1) in regulation at the Staples Center this season.
Jonathan Bernier permitted six goals on 22 shots before giving way to Jonathan Quick, who made six saves in relief.
