Auburn 64, Furman 50: Chris Denson scored a season-high 17 points as the Tigers rolled past the visiting Paladins.
Freshman Jordan Price hit all four of his 3-point attempts and finished with 14 points off the bench while Frankie Sullivan – the Southeastern Conference’s leading scorer – was held to just 11 points but handed out a career-high seven assists for Auburn (4-5), which won consecutive games for the first time this season.
Furman (3-6) scored seven of the game’s first nine points, but nine unanswered points from the Tigers put them in command for the remainder of the game as Auburn held the Paladins to just one field goal over the final 8:13 of the first half.
The Tigers used that cold spell to turn a four-point lead into a 35-20 advantage at the break. Furman, which match a season-low by shooting 30.8 percent, could get no closer than 12 points the rest of the way.
Colin Reddick was just one of two Paladins to reach double figures with 14 points.
