Jazz 101, Kings 95: Rodney Hood scored a season-high 25 points and nabbed four steals as visiting Utah held off Sacramento.

Derrick Favors scored 11 points and Rudy Gobert collected 10 points and nine rebounds as the Jazz earned their fourth win in five games. Jeremy Evans added 10 points off the bench and Trevor Booker grabbed nine boards for Utah.

DeMarcus Cousins failed to record a third straight triple-double and finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as the Kings dropped their fifth straight. Ben McLemore added 20 points and four steals while Omri Casspi scored 14 for Sacramento.

Ray McCallum found Casspi for a transition dunk to pull the Kings within 83-82 with 6:11 to play but Hood scored nine straight points for the Jazz and Joe Ingles nailed a 3-pointer to stretch it to 95-84 just over two minutes later. The advantage reached 13 points on Booker’s putback with 3:36 left and Sacramento could not put together a strong enough run in the final minutes.

It was knotted at 59 at the half and Utah went ahead 76-69 on three straight points by Bryce Cotton before the Kings cut it to a three-point deficit heading to the fourth. Evans put up the final five points in a 7-0 run that left the Jazz in front 83-75 with 9:45 to play.
