Wizards 101, Nets 94: John Wall scored 33 points and host Washington rallied in the fourth quarter to complete a three-game season series sweep of Brooklyn.

Drew Gooden scored 11 of his 21 points in the fourth and also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for Washington, which scored the final nine points of the contest to move a game ahead of the Nets and into fifth place in the Eastern Conference playoff standings. Bradley Beal had 15 points and Trevor Ariza contributed nine points and eight rebounds.

Marcus Thornton tallied 19 points - 10 in the fourth quarter - in a reserve role to lead Brooklyn, which had won three straight. Joe Johnson had 16 points, Paul Pierce 15 and Deron Williams 14 but the Nets spoiled an 11-for-21 showing from 3-point distance.

Thornton's triple - one of five in six attempts for him - opened the scoring in the fourth to put the Nets up 82-72 and his basket with 6:22 to go made it 91-87, but Brooklyn would not record another field goal the rest of the way. Gooden followed a pair of free throws from Pierce with a basket to tie it at 94 and hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 2:37 to go before Ariza and Wall scored to ice it as the Nets missed their final eight shots.

Brooklyn had a 13-2 run near the end of the first quarter and closed the second with a 12-6 burst to gain a 57-48 halftime advantage, which was quickly pushed to 12 points when Pierce buried a 3-pointer to open the second half. Washington crawled to within a point midway through the quarter before the Nets regained control, as Thornton hit a pair of 3-pointers and Johnson had back-to-back hoops in a push that put the visitors up 79-72 entering the fourth.
