Raptors 98, Magic 83: Kyle Lowry rode a scorching first quarter to a season-high 33 points as host Toronto rolled to its fourth win in five games.
Lowry, who finished with 11 assists, drained all five of his 3-pointers and scored 17 points in the opening quarter, helping the Raptors seize control en route to their fifth consecutive win over Orlando. Nikola Vucevic returned from a 12-game concussion layoff to pace the Magic with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jameer Nelson added 13 points for Orlando, which shot 33.3 percent in its 10th straight road loss.
The Magic trimmed a 15-point halftime deficit down to eight when Nelson hit consecutive 3-pointers near the midway point of the third, but Lowry had 11 points and two assists over the next six-plus minutes as Toronto built a 78-59 advantage late in the period. The Raptors went nearly four minutes into the fourth without a field goal before John Salmons was good from long range and the margin remained at least 14 points the rest of the way.
Lowry opened the scoring with his first 3-pointer less than a minute into the contest and his fifth gave the Raptors a 33-19 lead late in the first. Vucevic scored eight points in the second and hit a jumper moments before Nelson's back-to-back triples to help Orlando hang around in the third.
