Warriors 99, Celtics 97:
Stephen Curry buried the go-ahead jumper with 3.6 seconds left and finished with 19 points as Golden State held off visiting Boston.

Andre Iguodala collected 22 points and seven assists and Klay Thompson scored 17 points for the Warriors, who have won 11 of their last 12. David Lee added 16 points, Marreese Speights scored 13 off the bench and Andrew Bogut hauled in 13 rebounds for Golden State.

Jeff Green recorded 24 points and 11 rebounds while Kris Humphries added 16 points and 14 boards for the Celtics, who dropped their seventh straight game. Jared Sullinger joined the double-double party with 21 points and 11 rebounds for Boston, which could do no better than Gerald Wallace’s desperation 3-point attempt on the final possession.

The Celtics pulled within 94-93 on Green’s 3-pointer with 2:13 left before Iguodala hit a layup but could not convert the three-point play after drawing a foul. Boston cut it to a one-point deficit again before Harrison Barnes split a pair of free throws, and Green knocked down the tying shot with 11.6 to play to set up Curry‘s winner from just inside the arc.

The Warriors started strong in their return from a seven-game road trip and raced out to a 10-2 lead in the first three minutes. It was still an eight-point gap with just under two minutes left in the opening frame when the Celtics bridged the first two quarters with a 9-2 run to pull within 24-23.

Sullinger’s 3-pointer knotted it at 41 with 2:53 left in the half and his dunk gave the Celtics a 45-44 lead before Avery Bradley’s layup made it a 49-47 Boston edge at the break. The Celtics were clinging to a 66-63 lead with under three minutes left in the third quarter when Golden State made its move, getting nine straight points from Speights to close the period on a 9-1 burst and take a 72-67 lead.

Curry nailed a 3-pointer and drew a foul with 10:52 left, completing the four-point play to push the advantage to 80-69. The lead grew to 13 points but Boston came back again, getting six straight points from Humphries to cap a 9-0 run and close to within 82-78 with eight minutes to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Warriors F Draymond Green needed nine stitches to close a cut inside his mouth at the end of the first half but returned to the court after the break and finished with seven points in 20 minutes. … Boston fell to 0-4 on a five-game road trip that concludes at Portland on Saturday. … Celtics PG Rajon Rondo (knee) worked out prior to the game and reportedly could make his season debut before the All-Star break.
